Asymmetrical Hemlines Trend – My Favourite High Street Looks!

When it comes to hemlines there’s the mini, the midi and the maxi but if you’re looking to mix up your silhouette with a little in between then there is one stand-out style that could be your perfect solution – the asymmetric skirt. Incredibly versatile as a concept the asymmetrical hemlines trend never really goes out of fashion and while not entirely dominating the high street as a look, can be spotted in many stores, whether it be in the form of skirts, tops or jackets. It’s the perfect day to night look and great for women of all ages.

I have a number of pleated skirts but noticed this one in Topshop and loved the twist they had put on the hemline. I teamed my skirt with a little jumper I picked up in a department store in Portugal and my new Chloe copy dark green studded suede ankle boots from Office for today’s look but this skirt would likely also work well with a chocolate brown polar neck jumper and long brown boots for a more autumnal look.

There are currently some great buys on the hight street at the moment from workwear chic to evening glamour. The style can literally work for any occasion!

Below I have picked some of my favourite asymmetrical skirts that are currently on sale now. I particularly love the grey Zara skirt with button detail teamed with the red sock boots. It seems that red is the accessory colour of choice this season and red boots are a big trend for autumn / winter this year!
