So, I’ve been a little absent on the blogging front this last month but with numerous weddings to film and photograph and a house move now well underway (we move next week – yikes!), not to mention my youngest son who turns 4 on Sunday and is currently covered in Chickenpox (!) to nurse, it’s been a crazy few weeks!
I am super excited to be moving to my new home. I have always lived in period properties before but this time have found a brand spanking new build to move into, which is in a wonderful location, only a few minutes walk from town, with gorgeous views, a huge recreational ground on our doorstep and the children’s school only a one minute walk away.
Our quality of life will improve greatly as a result and most importantly, no longer having to do a one hour round trip commute to the school twice a day means we’ll have two extra hours a day to get things done which will be a real help. The children are now in their third week at their new school and have settled in really well, so all in all, things are going as well as can be expected so far!
Aside from all the craziness that has been going on, it was great to take a relaxing autumnal walk in the woods close to where I will soon be living, to escape the madness for an hour! I particularly love this time of year when the leaves are golden and the sun is low and orange in the sky in the late afternoon. It reminds me of the saying ‘Autumn – the year’s last loveliest smile.’
I have always loved ponchos as feel they immediately give a touch of class to the simplest of outfits and is a true wardrobe staple. I was delighted therefore, when online retailer WoolOvers sent me this gorgeous pure cashmere one to try out. I already have 5 other ponchos in my wardrobe which I have collected over the years, so chose classic navy as a welcome edition to my wardrobe this time. Made from 100% cashmere yarn the poncho is super soft and snuggly and feels gorgeous on!
WoolOvers is a company that started in 1989 from small beginnings, but is now a world class knitwear retailer. They supply over 1 million customers with men’s and ladies classic and contemporary knitwear and now have websites for the UK, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and two fully-translated versions for France and Russia. Their designs are just gorgeous ranging from loungewear to dresses and skirts for women and a great selection of cardigans, jumpers and tops for men. Now is the perfect time of year to take a peek too, if you are looking for some inspiration for Christmas!
