At the end of last year, I got the opportunity to collaborate with yoga and active leisure wear brand, Asquith London. We enjoyed working together so much, I was delighted to be asked to work with them again to showcase some of their gorgeous SS18 collection. If you haven’t heard of Asquith London before, then they really are worth keeping on your radar, particularly if you are a lover of ethically made clothing as they make ethical yoga clothes, including organic activewear. The company was founded in 2002 by Alice Asquith, who comes from a long line of creative women who have all made their own beautiful clothes. This inspired Alice to combine her love of beautiful fabrics with her other passion, yoga and pilates, in order to create a brand that was not only high quality and well designed but also kind to the planet and the people making it.

Asquith pride themselves on producing ethical, eco-friendly activewear that is not just reserved for the yoga mat. The clothes are so wearable and could easily be styled with other items in your wardrobe for an ultimately casual chic look.

Asquith pride themselves on making organic yoga clothes and trademark performance eco fabric ‘Bambor’ is a blend of bamboo and organic cotton with a tiny amount of elastane added to create stretch capabilities.  As bamboo is an environmentally low-impact and sustainable fabric, it’s ideal for activewear as it’s breathable, naturally anti-bacterial and pulls moisture from the body to the exterior of the fabric where it can evaporate more easily. Perfect for yoga! I am completely in love with their long hareem pants as are so incredibly comfortable to wear with their relaxed fit and soft bamboo jersey making them an absolute winner. The deep elasticated ruched cuffs at the bottom also keep the pants in place which is great when practicing yoga or pilates as means they don’t move!

Their organic yoga batwing tops are also very versatile and look just as great with your everyday wardrobe as they do with with your yoga wear. I wore mine in pearl grey with a coral vest underneath to compliment the coral detailing on the top. It is fitted at the hip to help stay in place during yoga but is also fairly loose in style so I went for the XS to suit my body shape.

On Thursday of this week I will be joining Asquith London in collaboration with award-winning destination spa ‘Ananda in the Himalayas‘ for a special event ‘Discover Your Dosha & Relax with Yoga’ where we will learn about core Ayurvedic principles and how to determine your body and dosha type from Ananda’s Head Ayurvedic Doctor. I will provide a little video diary in this post after the event!

The yoga event with Asquith and Ananda in the Himalayas was absolutely brilliant! You can enjoy a small peak of the event below!
