“The silk for our silk blankies is especially woven for us in China to produce a soft luxurious texture that is more beneficial to the skin.
What I say:
The blankie itself feels incredibly soft and luxurious and due to it being light and hypoallergenic is a great little comforter for Jake to snuggle up to. As silk stays cool, it’s also perfect for cuddling during the warmer months as the baby won’t get too hot as maybe possible with traditional comfort blankets.
I also like the fact that silk repels dust mites so from this perspective is great for allergy sufferers. Personally, I would be tempted to invest in two of the blankies so that you always have one on hand while the other is being washed (advised by hand wash only). However, if you are only getting one, the good news is that silk dries very quickly, so your baby will not have long to wait before they have their freshly washed blankie back in time for their night time sleep!
They would also make a beautiful gift for a new baby or perhaps as a Christening present.

That sounds lovely. Libby has a soft cuddly thing to sleep with and wouldn’t be without it, but that’s a relatively recent thing, it would’ve been nice to have had something like a silk thing when she was tiny.
Hi Natalie,
I don’t think the blankies need to be reserved for the tiny bubbas alone. I am pretty sure my other son Joshua would have enjoyed one till at least 4 as was always playing with the silky labels on his teddy comforters!
Thanks for your comments though! x
Silk is a natural fibre and therefore works with your body far better than synthetic quilts or pillows. There are a number of ailments silk can assist in providing a peaceful, pain free nights sleep. If you care for your family, wrapping them in a natural chemical free sleeping environment is one of the best things you can do for them.
