Am so busy with work right now as in the middle of editing two weddings but had to write this post quickly! Hard to believe that Jake has just turned 6 months old! I really don’t know where the time has gone. We have certainly packed a lot into Jake’s life so far including Christmas, a holiday and a house move!
This therefore is a post dedicated to my beautiful little boy…
To my darling little Jake,
At the tender age of 6 months old you have already learnt so much and come so far from the tiny little newborn you started out as.
You are such a happy baby. You smile and giggle all the time and love it when Mummy and your family do silly faces and put on silly voices. It always makes you burst into laughter.
By now you know your own name and when someone calls it you look up at them.
You have just learnt to sit up although are still a bit wobbly.
You just found your feet the other day and seem to find them very interesting!
You dribble A LOT and are teething. You gnaw on anything that comes your way with much enthusiasm and learned to hold a toy at 4 months.
When you get bored or want attention you call out what sounds like “Mummy” very clearly although have yet to say your first ‘proper’ word.
We weaned you at 4 and a half months. You love the fruit purees but was not impressed by my spaghetti bolognese when I tried it with you!
You still wake for a feed in the night but are so good at going straight back to sleep and you love your cot and your teddy comforter.
You rolled over at 4 months and like to practice on your playmat although sometimes you roll onto your tummy and after a few push ups you get tired and stuck so call out for rescue!
Loud or sudden noises make you cry. I once sneezed when I was holding you unexpectedly which made you jump and you were inconsolable! Although you often find my sneezes hilarious now when I do them in front of you.
You adore your brother and sister and they spend much of their time cuddling you or trying to make you laugh which you do with them often. Joshua loves to blow raspberries on your tummy and Grace calls you her ‘darling boy’.
You have A LOT of hair and wherever you go people comment on it and it makes everyone smile as you look so cute! I should probably cut it but I just can’t bring myself to yet..!
You are a such a sweet natured baby boy who makes our family feel complete and we all love and adore you so much… I can’t wait to see what you can do in the next 6 months!
